Chequered Flag Driving School respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you contact us, request a call back or book a lesson, we collect the details you provide - typically your name, phone number, email address and your pickup postcode/address. We do not collect sensitive data through this website.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange your lessons.
• To manage bookings, payments and your progress as a pupil.
• To contact you about your lessons or, where you’ve agreed, occasional offers.

Lawful basis

We process your data on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract, performing that contract, and our legitimate interest in running the driving school.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share it where necessary to provide our service (for example, the DVSA when booking a test) or where required by law.

Storage & retention

Your data is stored securely and kept only for as long as necessary to provide our services and meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies, split into two categories:

• Strictly necessary - a security cookie set by Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our contact forms from spam and abuse. This does not require your consent because the site cannot function safely without it.
• Analytics (optional) - Google Analytics (cookies named _ga and _ga_*, kept for up to 13 months), which helps us understand how visitors use the site. This is only set if you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner shown on your first visit - it is never set by default.

Embedded content (such as Google Maps) may also set its own cookies, governed by the provider's policy.

You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.
